The tepee, also known as tipi, It was used by the nomadic indigenous people of the Great Plains of the United States but they also have been built in other geographical parts. It is a conical tent, originally made from the skins of animals such as bison and wooden sticks. The women took care of the assemble, chosing the location and organizing the distribution of the town. They were the owners of the tepees. The entire town could be armed in an hour. This portability was important in the Great Plains because of their nomadic lifestyle.
